Best spots to watch the fireworks in Vancouver
English Bay Beach
This is without hesitation the most popular place to bask in the fireworks. The beach will give you direct access and close view of the fireworks.
Get there by public transport as the area gets really busy, and do it very early if you are going with the kids so you can find a spot without fighting with the crowds.
Here you can enjoy some food and there are public restrooms at your disposal.
Sunset Beach Park
This is a less populated place, Sunset beach makes for a great viewing point. You can make a plan to get there early and enjoy the sunset while you wait for the fireworks to begin. Doesn’t it sound like a good Saturday night plan?
This park is one of our favorite places in town, we've mentioned it as one of the top things to do in Vancouver. This is one of our favorite viewpoints for the fireworks too. In fact any point along the western part of the Stanley Park Seawall makes for a good spot to enjoy them!
The bonus here is that you can avoid the super busy English Bay Beach and still have a good view.
Vanier Park and Kitsilano Beach
Opposite to the English Bay Beach you have one of the hottest spots to watch the fireworks. Of course this one gets very busy as well. You have to arrive very early to save the best spot. Please be aware that roads are closed so you’ll have to use alternative transport.
Kitsilano beach is one of the most popular beaches in Vancouver and offers a great view of the show as well. As it is nearby Vanier Park the same recommendations apply.
Best places to watch the Honda Celebration of Light fireworks Outside Vancouver
West Vancouver's Dundarave Pier is another famous viewing point, one that's great for families with small kids thanks to the tranquility of the place plus you can have dinner at one of the restaurants there.
Dundarave Beach will give you a beautiful panoramic view. However if you are looking for panoramic views our favorite one would be the one from Cypress Mountain. On a clear day you can head to the Cypress Bowl Road and enjoy a unique and stunning view of this year Honda Celebration of light fireworks.
Other good viewing points for the fireworks are the Burrard Bridge and the Granville Bridge, which offer a faraway view of them, but still a good one. Center spots are highly demanded so be prepared for the crowds here as well.
